EDIT: OK, FINAL SUMMARY OF WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON for those (like me) who are struggling to keep track.


7.30 - We play a scrim on our server vs wtfc, with hopefully as many people who signed up for the real match on as possible so we can warm up

8.30 - We play a ladder game vs Trooper, who look to be a fairly good clan by their results. That should be all the people who signed up for definite for the match, but with r7an not Trane since he's not green-ticked. That means

all need to be there at 8.30, and ideally at 7.30 for the warm-up game too. Please message me or Grem if something's changed and you're not gonna be online asap.



Sorry for all the confusion! Our challenges got rejected but it looks like someone else took us up unexpectedly on the open challenge posted after Trane had organised a friendly instead. But it should all work out...







So, let's have another stab at organising a rematch vs [MG].

Hope the timing's OK, squeezing in between Christmas and New Year's - challenge is sent but no reply yet - though I have a couple of clans in mind to as a backup if MG don't accept the challenge, so we should hopefully be playing a match vs someone.

Guys, just to remind you if you won't be able to make the game please let one of the war arrangers (adel, myself) or the admins (hez or jag) know before hand. Or post on this thread. Saves everyone the trouble on the night. My pc is on 24/7 with steam running so leave me a pm.

This is the second time we're facing them; the first time it was on badwater and even though we were clearly the better team in terms of skills, they worked together better, and the map was time based, so we spent too much time dming than focusing on the cart. Badlands being cp based is more familiar to us and we can win this quite convincingly. For the new members read hez's Battleblob post. We haven't played badlands as a team yet, so if you have any tips and tricks for the map, please post away.

I can sub, I can't play as soldier though, any other class would be fine

Yeah, for sollies, Hez and Rob know already, but I will cry if you jump up onto the second point and leave me hanging around on the ground or climbing the spiral on my own. At least one solly needs to stay with the medic there, and preferably both (after all, you can always just RJ up and down to throw rockets onto the point if needed) - the scouts can nip up and cap. I think I would like to try with a heavy for taking the middle point at the start of the game to give me something to hide behind, since there's always a ton of spam and no setup time to get a nice safe uber. After that, go with two soldiers if/when the heavy dies. Especially if Trane is playing, since you're better at heavy than solly I would have said. Though if anyone has alternative plans, do say...

I will go ahead and send the challenge since it looks like we have enough, anyway.


edit: Trane are you registered and green-ticked on ED, and do you have XAC? Will need both by Tuesday for you to play.

Yeah I can't play it very well, but I'm available to sub. Just don't think it will be in the teams best interests if I play... lol.

Like I said, these guys aren't 'that' good, so don't worry about individual skill level etc. R7an you did great in the granary game mate, so don't beat yourself down Xian, we all hate one map or the other. Personally I can't stand dustbowl or goldrush anymore, but love badlands. One of my faves. That said, you should still try and play. Its a great map when your playing 6v6.

edit: Trane, just checked your ED status. You need to enter your steam id asap or I don't think you'll get green ticked before Tuesday.

Can I sign you as second scout? And then we can switch thisname to solly. And then if Trane can't play 'cos he's not on ED in time (as seems likely), we can have r7an as the other solly and forget about heavying.

I recorded a demo from our last game in granry, but when i played it back it was real jumpy. I know i my aim twitches while playing but not that much

Hmmmmmm nobody seems keen to accept our challenge :/

I sent one to -[MG]- of course, and one to IrS as well as a backup since they're really active. I even set it as an open challenge too in case neither of them responded. But nobody's accepted!

I'm gonna be very pissed off if we did all this organising for nothing...

I guess maybe it's because ED are resetting the league stats at the start of January, so ppl don't want to bother playing before then, and also the time of year. But meh.
