Required bits for ED

Hi guys, here is a small list of stuff we need to get ourselves registered:

As per ED rules, we will have to edit the website with pages rather than a single splash page and some info for this - "All members must have a dedicated section or page with information on each member; this MUST include their name, age, EMAIL ADDRESS & GAMING IDS (Steam ID's or PBGU:IDS)"

SteamID's can be obtained by joining a server and typing 'status' into console, look for your name and there should be a number like: STEAM0_0:125435435 or something

Also need everyone to download and install IRC which is another ED requirement for a clan to have a team channel, #snuke is currently unused so thats great, once installed give me a shout and we can get that sorted out with a L bot

Finally need everyone to download and install Ventrilo (voice chat program like teamspeak), once you have it give me a shout and ill give you my server details (or stick them up on a clan secure area on the forum if thats setup by then)

I remember some clan talking about how a shorter steam id means you made you're account really early or somthing. I'm not sure though.

Hez, are we ready to submit to ED? What else needs doing? Apart from a lot of practice of course

I need teaching how this IRC gubbins works, I've somehow totally avoided it except for hearing it mentioned in passing now and then.

As for Ventrilo, if we're stuck for a server I could try and get us a channel on my WoW guild's giant 40+ slot server, but I don't know how happy the admin are with guests...

Ok, i have registered us as a team on EnemyDown, now we will just have to wait a few days whilst they get around to processing and checking us out

As for IRC, I'll give you a quick walkthrough at some point tomorrow if possible? And vent, my server is still running at the minute but not sure for how long left, if u need the details, give me (or probably most of the other guys) a shout =]

I too, don't know about IRC and will need a guide about it.

I still can't get the IRC channel to send me that Auth e-mail either, although I've tried a few times trying to spot what I'm doing wrong.

I'm an IRC noob tbh....never needed to use it before, always just hung out on vent rather than IRC with previous guilds (clans). Voice comms beats text anyways :p:

Adel, usually that email goes straight to your spam folder. It did for me (Gmail). Give that folder a try. The sender of the email is just 'Q'.

Yeah I guessed it would but i couldn't see it, and even telling google to search all my mail didn't show it up
