eXs Friendly - Sunday 7pm UK time
So, sounds like there are plenty of eXs members and/or other regulars up for a 8v8 match on Sunday (not sure if crits or no crits, we can ask) so please can people reply to this post with a '/sign' if they can play, and we can hopefully get 8 of us together.
Also, the teamtalk on the friday (and if possible a mini practice at some point on the saturday for whichever map) is will be quite important to get some base classes and other bits worked out so try and make sure you can attend, still 8:30 Friday on vent (ill have to start handing out the details )

Hmmm, working until 7pm Sun and away from home, but if I can borrow a mate's PC, finish work early, and you need me to make up the numbers, I'll be there...

Re: eXs Friendly - Sunday 7pm UK time
Just saw on the eXs forum that we're having crits on for the sunday game. I think we all decided last nite that we wanted crits off. If someone could let eXs know beforehand, it would be handy. Don't want any hassles on Sunday before the game.
As for maps, they chose Dustbowl. So we have to pick one. I reckon we should go for badlands, as it's a very dm based map, and our scouts and sollies can easily dominate theirs' Any suggestions?

I don't mind whether it's crit or not. It's more pro without crit though. As for maps, Badlands should be good.

Ye, I think i'll ask the eXs guys before the match, I'd much rather play with no crits as everyone seems to prefer it without crits

+1 for no crits for me.
Still trying to sort the loan of a pc for Sun, should be able to but might be a 7v7 if no-one else signs... sorry
Who else is missing? Adel?

not so friendly anymore after Borenson and Keeny said we'll probably be banned from the server.
Gonna be a bit of a grudge match now.

Motiv, Keeny told me that he thought we shouldn't be banned and that we won't be. "Doomy's cool now" so it's OK. I didn't know about this nonsense haha.

BTW I know this is very sad but I had a dream about TF2 last night (A sign of too much free time spent on TF2, been on holiday for 4 MONTH!). Anyway basically we were all actually physically in our server mucking about. It was a map with a huge bridge and the usual western theme stuff. We started complaining that the bridge wasn't being maintained enough (while one of you soldiers was just jumping about randomly) and there were holes in it from people shooting it. Then Jagbama came in and shouted at us all (he was a sniper without a hat for some reason).
Hope this gives you a laugh or something.

LOL,
Reminds me of that map on Garys mod with the collapsible bridge.

Hey, I'm back from travelling. Should be able to make the match tonight (do you still need people? More to the point, do you still need a medic?). I will get on vent and irc in a sec if anyone's online to let me know what's going on...

Re: eXs Friendly - Sunday 7pm UK time
Hey Adel, a medic would be most welcome, I'm having to do all sorts of shonkyness to get access to a PC and steam (I'm away on work) so if you can make it, that takes pressure off of me :-)

Post number2)
The match is now at 8pm for those of you who havent seent he Doomy forum and its probably crits off (if i can swing it)
Secondly if you guys want to take demos for practice/fun+sharing later the commands are:
record <demoname> - will save a demo into your steam tf folders
stop - stops recording
playdemo <demoname> - plays a demo in your steamfolders
stopdemo - stops playing the pre-recorded demo you are watching
demoui - gives you the option to fastforward or slowdown a demo you are watching (going backwards is a bit harder)
I'll try and remember to make one for me, and if we throw them all togther into a mini video would be a laugh (something ive wanted to mess with for a while but never really bothered)

Hmmm, I've just been told dinner planned for 7pm (living at home this year to make doing a masters' cheaper....regretting loss of uni independence hugely!). So I will be a little late for Hez's 7PM pep talk in which he's going to quote Churchill and inspire us to win...
...but I promise I'll be there in plenty of time for 8

I was actually thinking more Braveheart style. And then we're on the battlefield, we charge the [eXs] with blood in our eyes and then suddenly both teams stop in the middle and shake each others hands and hug
